Chapter 217 Another Rift? Part1
Everything had really changed and she almost couldn\'t recognize where she was living right now. It was as if they were now on a completely different planet.
She sighed and turned to see that Su Yan was still blankly staring at everything. Not having anything else to do, she closed her eyes and tried to see just how far her senses could reach.
Growl?
Qin Hua suddenly snapped her eyes open as she heard a familiar voice. Without any hesitation, the wolf immediately jumped out of the terrace and then weaved into a nearby shadow.
Her figure quickly bounded from one shadow to another as she sped in a specific direction. Su Yan as well noticed this and followed behind her, though mostly out of curiosity.
A couple of seconds later, the wolf came to a halt, standing behind a few trees. Su Yan as well stopped behind her.
In front of them, a group of five people were standing and one of them seemed to be invalid. "Do you know these guys?" Su Yan asked.
Qin Hua slowly nodded. She didn\'t know all of them but she knew the person who was currently being pummeled.
"I already said I don\'t know. Cough. Cough. What do you guys want from me?" Mo Ling wheezed. His body was wounded, bloody, and tattered and he was collapsed on the ground.
However, the four men in military clothes didn\'t seem to have any plans of stopping. One of them stepped forward to kick him in the gut again.
"Ptui! You are just a fucking traitor. Did you think we would just keep feeding you and taking care of you like idiots? You will get what\'s coming to you today, you little bitch."
"I really did not…" Mo Ling winced in pain as he spat out another mouthful of blood. He didn\'t even have the limbs to walk or run away from the heartless thugs.
"Don\'t even try. You are the one who has been passing all our secrets to that group right? Just admit it." The person spat out and sent another kick aiming at Mo Ling\'s chest.
It looked like he couldn\'t care less if the other person lived or died after their interrogation.
Qin Hua snarled. She came here because she recognized Mo Ling\'s voice. He was not really that close to her but the person had been under her care and protection for a while.
But for anyone to be treated like this…
Qin Hua dug her paw nails into the grassy forest grounds.
This was it. She had already given these assholes enough chances but unless they were taught a real lesson, it didn\'t look like they were going to learn anything.
She stretched her neck and was about to pounce forward when the person standing next to her had already taken action.
Slash. Slash. Slash
Slash. Slash. Slash
Before Qin Hua could realize what was happening, the four human beings standing in front of her had all been cut down, reduced to just a pile of corpses.
And Su Yan stood casually, his hands dripping with blood. "All done?" He turned to ask her. Qin Hua was completely speechless.
She did indeed intend to do this but to see her own kind massacred like this was a bit unsettling.
Also, if Su Yan acted like this, then that could only mean that… he didn\'t get any of his memories back.
She felt disappointed. After Lu Chen suggested this, she really thought that this might help. He had even consumed the health potion.
However, it looked like nothing helped.
She sighed and then shook her head vigorously. [Woof! Alright. He has just now recovered from his injuries. Memories will take time. No need to rush.]
She silently picked up Mo Ling and tossed him on her back. The three of them then went back to their camp.
Woof! She called for Coco who was currently busy healing everyone and she asked her to heal Mo Ling first.
She also gave the cat some chimera beast meat as she was clearly being overworked because of the heavy demand for a healer.
She rubbed the beast\'s head and patted her lovingly. [Don\'t work too hard.]
She had said these words so that the cat would relax but it actually ended up being the opposite.
Meow! Coco brightened up as if she had drunk several cans of red bull and instantly became more energetic.
Qin Hua shook her head helplessly and decided not to intervene anymore. She walked over to join Lu Chen and Su Yan to see what they were discussing.
She also wanted to tell Lu Chen about what happened. Their friend was now a ticking time bomb, a powerful one at that.
She wasn\'t sure that even she would be able to do anything if he decided to explode.
[Damn it. This is all my fault. I shouldn\'t have fed him so many good things! And now he is more powerful than me. Grrr…]
As she approached closer, Su Yan turned to give her a big smile. "Eh? Doggie. Are you a mind reader? I was just about to call you and you are already here. He He."
Lu Chen rubbed his temples. "Su Yan… just… let me talk."
"He told me what happened? We need to deal with those guys soon." Lu Chen let out a long breath. "It was a good thing you recognized Mo Ling. Thank you little white."
[It wasn\'t much.] Qin Hua nodded, her eyes fixated on Su Yan, watching his every move. The other party also wasn\'t helpful as he continued taunting her.
"Heh. Tell her the other thing." Su Yan grinned.
"Mmmm. I am getting to that." Lu Chen sighed again and continued. "It looks like there is another spatial rift back in our city."
