Chapter 195: Teleporter!
Chapter 195: Teleporter!
Oliver and Arthur looked at him, their eyes as clear as an ocean untouched by humans’ atrocities. Lucy had the same look on her pretty tomboyish face. Elliot could tell that they wanted to contribute at least something to this situation. He applauded them for their courage. After all, not many people would involve themselves in a fight where they could get hurt or even die.
However, he shook his head.
“Let’s be real here,” Elliot said, a calm look on his face. “You guys are useless because you don’t even have enough magic energy to manifest your superpowers. So, how will you be of help to us? It’s best to go back like the others.”
“No!” Lucy said, “We can be useful.”
“Hmm?” Elliot looked at them amusedly.
“You must have gotten a lot of spatial storage devices from the serpentine devils. Well, Arthur here’s a maniac when it comes to this technology, and he can open the subspace of each of them. Just let us borrow a few magic crystals, and we will become able to fight.” Oliver explained to him.
Except for the bone bracelets, the serpentine devils each carried a spatial storage device for personal use. He had gained a lot of them too.
Elliot’s gaze turned to Arthur.
“You can do that?!”
He was a bit surprised. Elliot wasn’t a tech guy, and he didn’t know how to hack devices, so he looked at Arthur with a bit of interest. He could score some points with this person, and if they hit it off, he could use him for his goals. He didn’t have any hacker friends so having a connection with one wouldn’t be so bad, even if it means that he would need to treat the other with humbleness.
Arthur was a bit shocked to see him looking at him with a little bit of admiration, so he replied with a bit of embarrassment, “Ah, yes.”
“The more, the merrier.”
Elliot said, passing over several spatial storage devices to them.
Arthur took them, sat down on the ground, and started tweaking his way into them.
“How long is it going to take?” Grace asked.
“Ten minutes,” Arthur replied in a confident voice. He was certain that he would be able to open the subspace of each of them within ten minutes.
Grace looked towards Elliot, awaiting his command. He ordered them to rest for ten minutes, as after that, they would head to the center and towards the Eastern zone to attack the serpentine devils there and break the second of the fifth crystal that sustains the barrier. Then, the third, fourth, and fifth. So, now was the best time to rest. The beasts slumped on the ground around him, closing their eyes, resting to recover their stamina.
“Why not just directly attack the crystal in the forest?” One of the four guardians asked, a bit perplexed.
Destroying the crystal at the center of the forest would mean destroying the entire barrier. After all, the crystal in the center was the main part of the barrier. Without it, the barrier can’t remain intact. Yet, Elliot wanted to take the hard route!
Why?!
Sigh, these poor beasts lacked cunningness so one must bit blame them for failing to comprehend his intentions!
“I believe my master doesn’t want to do that because that will be the same as opening a path for them to escape. Know this; we aren’t the ones trapped in here with them; they are. Master wants to hunt all of the serpentine devils in this place before attacking the center to kill the last of their kind. Am I right?” Grace said while looking at the man she had decided to serve. Her big eyes were sparkling with intelligence, and her words were like honey, seducing a bee-like Elliot.
Elliot’s eyes were bright, and his lips thinned into a smile. Grace didn’t fail to live up to his expectations. Honestly, she was an intelligent woman who any man would like to keep by himself. Elliot inwardly sighed. He would have tried to seduce her to eat her on the bed later if she was a woman. Sadly, they were of two different races, completely incompatible with each other.
“Yes, you’ve indeed guessed my thoughts correctly. Unless the central crystals get destroyed, the rest of the barrier’s walls will not dissipate. Leaving a barracks of beasts in this place so that others wouldn’t be able to enter this zone, we can launch an attack on the other sides, from east to south and west, and then finally the center. First, they can’t destroy the crystal themselves as the curse would kill them. Secondly, we will set up interference in zones we have conquered so that others wouldn’t be able to enter said zones. None of them will be able to escape that way.” Elliot explained to them.
The guardians had started to understand human language, so now they didn’t need Grace to translate his words for them.
Their eyes brightened, and they roared in respect. They wanted to scrap the barrier and set their forest free, so they only thought about attacking the main crystal. However, Elliot was intent on taking out the root of the problem. Thus, he managed to impress the simple but majestic beasts.
…
Arthur’s hands moved swiftly, and he stripped naked the spatial storage devices one after another, revealing their core. Pressing here and there as if he was molesting a cutie, Arthur managed to open the command center of the devices, and he did so with an intoxicated expression on his face that seemed a bit too perverted.
Inside, there were sex toys, a lot of twisted ones, and many that people use nowadays to please themselves. Except for that, there were several other things, from a pile of magic crystals to components of the teleporter and even several torture devices.
[You’ve gained 11 components of the teleporter!]
[You now have a total of twelve components in your possession! You can combine them all to create the teleporter!]
